MLK Reception

The MLK Kick-off reception is held in January, two Fridays prior to the official birthday of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., iconic Civil Rights Leader and Nobel Peace Prize recipient.

The reception lasts about 2 hours and always involves Youths from the Church. The Mayor and City Commissioners of West Palm Beach are always invited and are usually well represented.

The idea of the reception is to chronicle the activities planned for the year by the Martin Luther Coordinating Committee to further Dr. King's ideas.

The Reception Committee is chaired by Vandary Chin.
