Choir Director: Richard DeMone

Our Organist and Choir Director at Grace Church is Richard DeMone, a native of Massachusetts, graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, Conn., and of the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. After 34 years at the First United Methodist Church in Melrose, MA, he has come to a new home in Fort Lauderdale and at Grace Episcopal Church, where his talents at composing music and playing organ and piano in many different styles will hopefully fuse with the cultural diversity of the church.

A dedicated group of singers forms the choir, and anyone who hears them can tell how dedicated they are! What a beautiful sound comes from the twenty-or-so members, who lead the musical parts of every worship service and add their own special “anthems” every Sunday. Steeped in cultural diversity, their music reflects this, ranging all the way from traditional Anglican chant through standard choral music, contemporary selections, Calypso rhythms, spirituals, and almost anything you could imagine.

Many of the members of the choir sing solos from time to time, and it is our wish that anyone interested in singing with us come and join in.
