Chalice Bearer/Lector

Our CHALICE BEARER ministry is composed of volunteers who are trained and comissioned to assist clergy on the altar during regular and special services to the congregation. They administer the communion cup, lead the recitation and responses in worship and represent a solemn, and outward, visible sign of lay persons' role in in our church.

Our LECTOR ministry is composed of trained volunteers who have the spiritual gift for reading aloud the scriptures to the congregation at all worship and special services of the church. They introduce and deliver Old and New Testament readings in a respectful and professional manner, ensuring the meaning of the author of the scripture is not compromised.
